Corporate Training Videos: 20 Best Examples That Actually Work

Employeee Corporate Training Videos for Workspaces

If you’re here, you’re probably well aware of the power of training videos. However, if you’re still on the fence about it, consider these results:

Studies show that “viewers retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video compared to 10% when reading it in text”. Another survey reveals that “97% of L&D professionals find video more effective than text-based documents”.

As amazing as these videos can be, creating them isn’t an easy task. Hence, we have compiled the 20 best corporate training videos to inspire you on this path. In this guide, we’ll also cover the top tips to create the best workplace training videos.

Tips to Create the Best Corporate Training Videos

We have been creating the best training videos for employees for several years now. So, we know what works and what doesn’t. Here are the top tips to create such videos:

Goals

1. Set clear goals, objectives, and preferences.

Before creating a corporate video, you must know-

Who your audience is: These could be new joinees, top management, or C-level executives.

What your goals are: You may want the employee to complete an assignment, sign an acknowledgement of understanding, or fill a feedback form.

Training Needs and Preferences: For understanding the former, it’s essential to understand what knowledge or skill they need to learn. As for the preferences, they could prefer crisp videos with valuable insights or detailed step-by-step guidance.

Scriptwriting

2. Create an effective script

To create an effective script, you shouldn’t include irrelevant topics and explain relevant ones logically. You should also use animation and examples that can help the target audience understand the key concepts more easily. You should also use simpler sentences and refrain from using words that may not be easily understood.

Another thing that you should pay special attention to is the practical application of key concepts taught in the video. Let’s say, your video is about handling angry customers.

Hence, the video should cover examples of how one can do that in a real-life scenario. This way, audiences can learn about situations where their newly acquired knowledge can be used.

premium

3. Premium Production Quality

Even if you’re working with fewer resources, the video’s production quality should still be top-notch. Poor audio quality can hurt your company’s reputation. To ensure that doesn’t happen, you need a good microphone. Additionally, you should invest in a high-quality camera and proper lighting.

While there’s no rule that newbies can’t create great content, that usually isn’t what happens. Creating high-impactful video content consistently takes years of practice and effort. As a result, companies often outsource this kind of work. The high equipment cost is also a strong contributing factor.

That’s where we come in. We have already created more than 200 premium-quality videos for our diverse clients. Book an appointment with us if you require extraordinary content at ordinary pricing.

analyze performance

4. Measure Performance

Creating and deploying training video(s) is just one part of the puzzle. Measuring performance is just as important. This can be done by analyzing completion rates- the percentage of viewers who watch the video completely. You can also measure performance through employee feedback.

Top 20 Examples of Corporate Training Videos

In our extensive experience, we have created several high-converting corporate training videos. We have seen even more training videos, so we know what effective ones look like. Here are 20 such examples-

1. Compliance & Safety Video by Motionplay Studio

This video shows you a glimpse of what firemen go through. However, this video is dedicated to explaining how important insulated fire ducts are in the context of fire accidents.

In the first few seconds, we get to see what the video is about. So, the context is made clear even without devoting a lot of video runtime. The use of graphs makes the video more informative.

Additionally, the video offers an answer to a common question a new fireman might have. To sum it up, the video works due to its focus on clarity and answering an important anticipated question.

2. Customer Support Training Video by Procter & Gamble

If you’re in customer support, you must have been given some level of basic training by your seniors. This video aims to do the same, just in a much more interesting way. However, it’s the animation, voice-over, and key information presentation that makes this video memorable.

One line that we loved was “Treat every customer as an opportunity to connect, not as a script on auto-repeat”. So, the video’s winning formula was wonderful animation coupled with insightful information.

3. Onboarding Video with Prepr by Motionplay Studio

If you’re new to Prepr and you’re company uses the platform, this video can be of great use to you. In this video, you will learn how to use the platform and connect with other people.

Look at how we have introduced each sub-topic. For instance, we show the “profile” graphic before talking about it. We could have easily pointed our cursor to different areas and explained different headings.

Instead, we made such graphics to make it easier for the viewer to understand. This is a major reason why the video works well.

4. Good Customer Service video by Canity

Customer support teams are often told how to react when things go wrong. But what about the times when customers are delighted about your work? This video talks about that.

The video’s topic is already interesting enough. However, when you couple that with such fun animation, it makes for a lovely watch. Also, bonus points for including those “wahnnn” and “uh-oh” sounds in the video.

5. UBC- Sales Associates Training Video by Epic Productions

This video was made to train the sales employees of UBC, a tile manufacturer in Arizona. What really stood out to us in the video was how well key pieces of information were presented.

An example of this is including the company’s telephone and fax number at the end. Another example is the process of identifying order availability. The use of animation makes the video much easier to understand.

6. Animated Training Video Example by Learn to Flourish

While this isn’t a video that was designed to train employees, it is perfect for that purpose. This video can be used to train real-estate company workers. It takes on quite an unfamiliar topic of how invasive species can impact clients.

The animation is nice, but what stood out was how well the background music was used. It always matched the general mood of the scene.

7. Diversity & Inclusion Video by Microlearning Examples

This video was developed for Camber Partner to educate their employees on diversity & inclusion. Unlike many videos, this one opens with a shot of the narrator talking about the company and the purpose of the video. As a result, the context of the video becomes much clearer.

The animations only add to the overall experience. For instance, one scene shows a few faces along with a conference room and multiple chairs. At the end of the table, we see a wheelchair, indicating that there should be room for everyone. Such subtle messaging makes a great impression on the viewers.

8. Metrofile’s Corporate Training Video by Oliver Karstel

This video was made to train Metrofile’s sales team. It explains the concept of cross-selling and up-selling. While the 2D animation is pleasing to watch, the narrator’s oratory skills make it better.

Another good thing about the video is that it uses common examples like french fries and soda to explain the concept. As a result, the employees can remember the concept much more easily.

9. The Employee Training Video by Noella Borie

Unlike most other entries in this list, this one isn’t an out-and-out training video but could surely be used as such. What stands out to us in this video is the use of animated animal characters instead of human ones.

Also, while the characters are showing how to maintain hygiene in the office, the tone is incredibly quirky and unique. This is easily one of those videos that you’re going to remember for a long time.

10. 2D Animated Training Video by Prolific 3D Tech

The video’s subject is underground medium voltage power cable accessories. This video can be used to educate electricians on the topic. At the end of the video, we also see a couple of MCQs, which is a nice touch.

What’s also nice to see is that the video tries to keep a fine balance between animation and real imaging. So, to summarize, the winning formula here is to use different techniques to explain the concept.

11. HMI Operator Training Video by Prolific 3D Tech

Upon first look, some might argue that the video is pretty basic. However, we think the video did what it set out to do, which is to explain how to operate HMI. Sure, you could enhance the experience by using a red circle animation to point out things, but it’s still a job well done.

We believe that the video’s greatest strength lies in its simplicity and easy explanation. Often, we talk about focussing on substance over style. This video does that.

12. Corporate Training Video by WeAnim8

In this whiteboard animation video, Bela Family Dentistry looks to educate new employees on standard business practices. The animation is pleasing to look at, but the video has other strengths, too.

This includes key information about multiple topics and departments in minutes. Also, the medical staff are given appropriate clothing, so bonus points for that.

Whiteboard animation is another key area in which we excel. If you ever need such videos, let us know. We’re always here to help.

13. Internal Training Video for RWE by AIchemy Studio

When we watched this video for the first time, our immediate reaction was that the animations looked unique. However, the video’s greatest strength lies in the fact that it’s engaging and informative. The video takes on the topic of performance management and how employees could benefit from it.

At the end of the video, we also see a difference between a calm and stressful meeting, which was incredibly smart. This way, you can show the impact your video can potentially have.

14. Safety Precautions for Confined Space by Tech EHS

This video can be used for training professionals who work in confined spaces, including safety professionals and technicians. Not that other videos don’t do this, but we love how most scenes fit perfectly with the audio.

For instance, at one point, we learn that workers should be aware of inflammable substances. At the same time, we see a worker get caught in a fire accident. Had the creators removed the centered company logo, the video could have been even better. Still, a solid job, nonetheless.

15. Corporate Training Video for New Employees of EKADOO, LLC

This video shows biometric enrollment procedures for the new joinees of EKADOO, LLC. Hence, it is a fine example of an onboarding video. In this simple yet informative video, every relevant topic is covered, including the different parts of such a machine.

Even though the video is simple, you may still find surprising information. For us, it was learning about the differences between correct and incorrect finger rotation.

16. Customer Service Training Video by JMC The Director

Unlike most of our entries, this one isn’t an animated training video. Still, the video is easy to follow, and it clearly explains what it set out to do. In this video, we see how employees of a company with great customer service behave and how it helps the business.

While the direction style is unique, the messaging style is implicit. This may not be in line with everyone’s expectations. Other than that, the video is awesome.

17. Dealing with Difficult Customers by Canity

Canity videos have lovely animation and quirky nonverbal expressions. This one is no different. However, this video takes on the topic of dealing with difficult customers.

While the super fun animation is definitely the video’s greatest strength, information doesn’t take a backseat either. We love that the video not only covers how you should react but also how customers may react in different situations.

18. Leading with Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace by Carolyn Stern

This whiteboard animation video can be used to train company managers. The animation is great, but the narrator’s clear communication and explanation take the spotlight.

While the video’s runtime is just 3 minutes and 37 seconds, each concept is incredibly well explained. Full credit to the narrator for the amazing work.

19. Data Privacy Principles by Wienot Films

This video is easily among the most enjoyable we have ever seen. It is about data privacy principles, but instead of explaining the topic and then moving to its subtopics, it does something unpredictable.

Not many would have thought of explaining the concept like a soccer match. We see a coach instead of a trainer and employees in place of athletes.

20. Slips Trips and Falls by Z9T Safety

The last entry in our list of engaging training content for employees is the one by Z9T Safety. This video takes on the topic of slips, trips, and falls and how one can prevent accidents from these.

While some think the video is basic, it still communicates the intended message well. Also, the video isn’t animated, but the footage fits perfectly with the audio. So, good job on that front as well.

Conclusion

Since most L&D professionals prefer video over text documents, corporate training videos are a great way to train your staff.

These include Data Privacy Principles by Wienot Films and Compliance & Safety Video by Motionplay Studio.
